Terms of Use

1.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an admin or teacher account. Minors may use the Service only under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or educational institution that has accepted these Terms.

1.2 When you create an account, you must provide accurate, complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.

1.3 If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, company, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms and that "you" in these Terms includes both you and that organization.

2.1 BLL provides tools for language schools and organizations to manage members, courses, assessments, and learning plans. BLL does not employ teachers or students and is not a party to any teaching, enrolment or employment relationship between you and any other user.

2.2 Each school or organization is solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of information in its listing and profile
• Compliance with local laws, including education, consumer and workplace laws
• Its own enrolment policies, fees, refunds and classroom conduct
• Managing its members, permissions and internal rules

2.3 Students are responsible for confirming that any school or program meets their needs before enrolling.

3.1 You must use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that is consistent with these Terms and applicable laws in Victoria, Australia and in your own jurisdiction.

3.2 You must not:

• Harass, abuse, threaten or harm other users
• Upload or share content that is defamatory, hateful, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, systems, or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) in a way that interferes with normal operation

4.1 You retain ownership of the content you upload or create in the Service, including courses, tests, learning plans, questionnaires and other teaching materials ("User Content").

4.2 By submitting User Content, you grant BLL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process that content solely for the purpose of operating, improving and providing the Service to you and your organization.

4.3 You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights necessary to upload and use User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

4.4 The Service, including our software, branding, documentation and default content, is owned or licensed by BLL and protected by intellectual property laws. You must not copy, modify or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

5.1 Access to certain features may require a paid subscription. Plan details, pricing and seat limits are displayed in the Subscription area of your admin dashboard.

5.2 If you start a paid subscription, you authorise us or our payment provider to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

5.3 You can change or cancel your plan from the Subscription page. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable, except as expressly stated in any written guarantee or promotion.

5.4 We may change our prices and plans from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of any material changes that affect your existing subscription, in accordance with Australian consumer law.

6.1 Our collection, use and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

6.2 BLL is committed to handling personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws in Victoria, Australia, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, as well as any other laws that apply to us.

7.1 We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable during planned maintenance windows or due to factors outside our control.

7.2 We may update, change or discontinue parts of the Service at any time to improve performance, security or usability. Where a change has a material adverse impact on your paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice.

8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, except where specific guarantees are required by Australian consumer law.

8.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.

8.3 To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph above, BLL is not liable for any loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data or any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9.1 We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we are required to do so by law.

9.2 You may stop using the Service at any time. If you cancel your subscription, your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
